I am very lucky that my local newspaper is believing in me and my abilities to create a much needed service within the area. They did this for me after contacting them about the text and email service.
Cambuslang mum hopes to reach those suffering from postnatal depression

A CAMBUSLANG woman whose online blog has helped hundreds of parents deal with postnatal depression is launching a text and e-mail support service.
Angeline Dickson, from Westburn, started the Daft Mamma blog two months ago.
She has already been inundated with letters and e-mails from mothers who have been inspired to tackle the problem after reading her story.
Angeline herself suffered from postnatal depression after giving birth to daughter Madeleine, who is now aged four.
She already runs a support group and now hopes to use her text and e-mail service to reach even more mothers – and fathers – who struggle to cope with emotional problems after the birth of a child.
She said: “The service is in support of those going through postnatal depression who just need someone who understands what it’s like with a non-judgmental and confidential approach.
“It’s for those who may not be able to attend group, or who don’t want anyone to know, or even for those who don’t know if it’s postnatal depression that they are experiencing.”
The e-mail address is onemum2amother@hotmail.co.uk and text number is 07834485868.
Angeline’s blog can be read at www.daftmamma.co.uk
