The day after my big session, I was meant to have a day of rest… But I just couldn’t allow myself to do it and that’s possibly one of the reasons for my tonsillitis!
I went on Tuesday with my gym buddy and although I didn’t do a lot, it was great to go back. I ran another 2KM and went on the bike and rower. I also did some weights and abdominal exercises as well, which I have to say, 4 days later I am still feeling the effects!
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to go since , due to my ill health so I have concentrated on resting and finding some healthy recipes to make sure that I don’t get sick for a very long time! I am quite a healthy eater but maybe need to include even more fruit and veg. So this week I have plenty of protein, some red meat and a lot of vegetable. I think I may also jazz up my usual brekkie of porridge with some different types of fruit. Our local shopping centre has a fruit and veg stall which gives amazing value for money so when I get out and about, i shall head there!
I’m starting boot camp next week with a friend who is a personal trainer and who also did a post on the benefits of exercise on depression. This and the gym should help me in my weight loss journey in time for the summer!
